“After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony and view of the tropical gardens. The breakfast was good with several options, and the pool and lounging area were the perfect addition after a day at Bahia Ballena and other excursions. The staff,……

“This place is picturesque and has potential, but the staff was inattentive and seemed bothered when we asked for anything. We had to search the grounds for someone to come to check us in. The bartender wasn’t around for at least the first 20 mins of happy hour. We were told a lot of things were not done properly (room cleaning) or not working (hot tub) b/c of electricity issues (to be fair, it is rainy season and there were thunderstorms each night and it sounds like they were working off……

“I recently stayed at the Hotel Uvita Forest for two nights and had a comfortable stay. The accommodation is very modern, featuring a well-equipped kitchenette, great air conditioning and a comfy bed. There is a pool area that is shared between the rooms and the villas, with sun loungers and areas to sit around it.
