“We stayed at Achill Guest House for one night before starting a canal boat trip from Alvechurch Marina. We appreciated that it is a family-run guest house with a funky charm one doesn’t find in a chain hotel, even if the walls are a little thin and we could hear our neighbors a little bit. Bed on the soft side but still slept well. “Had the potential to be an amazing stay in an old country house. The bedrooms have names not numbers. Music room bedroom was fantastic to look at when i stayed in april. But there were dead flies and dead hornets on the carpet where the carpet met the wall , at least 30 all around the edges of the room. Whom ever vacuums the room needs new glasses. The sink was embarrassingly slow to drain and wouldnt completely empty. The shower contols fell off in my hand. In the morning the……

“After being placed in a cottage room which was very close to the facility hosting a wedding party We asked to be moved to a quieter part of the hotel as we were nothing to do with the wedding party. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently with no fuss. From this point onwards we received great service in a great room with excellent breakfasts We will use hotel and specific room for visiting family on future occasions.”
