Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ……

“This is a wonderful hotel. As a boutique hotel the number of rooms are limited, but that just makes for more personalized and better service. The hotel is located at the tip of Mirror Lake, just a 5 minute walk from the heart of Lake Placid. The Olympic speed skating oval is only a block away, the Olympic museum and ice rinks are two blocks. Rooms at the front of the hotel overlook a public park and beach, with clear views of the lake. “We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with our dog. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened onto the expansive lawn at the front of the hotel, with a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the mountains and over the town is spectacular. It was a perfect room for traveling with a dog, as our dog could go right outside to pee without us having to trek all the way through the building. We were able to feed him and give him water out there as……
