“Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe.……

“Great overnight stop with the most friendly and helpful of staff. Facilities excellent and being able to bring our dog was so good. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast options were just right for us. Will definitely stay again. The price was also the best value for money you could ask for. Could not recommend more.”

“Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. “Friendly staff and clean, spacious room. Not easy to walk there from the rail station. However, One can get there easily through a steel bridge (which was not shown in the map) linking it to the Freeman’s Quoy Centre at the Peninsula, near the Premier Inn Durham. Good and reasonably priced dinner.”
