“This house was such a peaceful escape. The setting is super rural and quiet, with a beautiful river, creek, and even waterfalls right outside. It felt like something out of a fairytale. “We wanted a quiet getaway and that’s exactly what we got. We like Hedgesville’s proximity to Berkeley Springs, Harpers Ferry and Winchester, VA. Hedgesville itself doesn’t have a lot going on - a few independent restaurants & shops, a Martin’s grocery store. If you’re looking for Walmart or chain restaurants, there are plenty in nearby Martinsburg. This visit for us, though, was all about staying in and enjoying the woods around us. “The cabin was nice, in a quiet neighborhood, with a beautiful view. The only downside was that the towns nearby were sleepers, with nothing to do and terrible restaurants, our biggest entertainment was going to the Farm Store to see baby chickens. The Inn in Berkeley was higher priced,and the food was awful. We ended up at the Food Lion, getting groceries and cooking our own meals. ”
