“We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Purple Papaya. The cottage was super clean and well stocked. The views were phenomenal! We walked the beach every day. We enjoyed Tippys, for lunch and dinner. We could hear the music from our back porch, while enjoying the pool . Would definitely recommend staying at Purple Papaya. ”

“Barbara’s house is very old-time comfortable with ample big furniture, plenty of storage, big kitchen, lots of equipment, good AC, and she communicates quickly with any questions you have. Even though it is on the main road, it is set back and quiet. The beach is a bit away, and the view from the house is basically water, but it is very private. If I were to suggest any improvements it would be to brighten up the place with some color, and update where needed. Also, some written directions……

“Quiet, secluded beach within minutes of three other spectacular beaches. The cottage has everything you need and nothing you don't. Host and caretakers were right there for us, but with everything so nicely set up there wasn't a thing missing. Laundry a big plus. Host's guide to the cottage and island was top-notch. “The place has seen better days and was not cleaned well. Strong smell of mold upon entering the rental. Rather than address our concerns the owner literally argued with me and got super snarky. Never had a rental experience like this. We left the rental and did not return. ”

They made our trip stress free and we felt well taken care of! From helping me find the perfect flight and finding a boat excursion they were extremely helpful. They gave us suggestions on where to see music and get good food! Scott showed us how to gut Konch shells! In was such a cool experience. “Our little cottage getaway was just what we needed. Our hosts were exceptional - responsive, kind and generous. The cottage was very comfortable - we had everything we needed for a four-day stay on Eluethera. It was quiet and safe (after a week in Nassau). We were able to walk to Turtle Beach and many other beautiful beaches were just short drives away.Loved it - wish we could have stayed longer.”
