It’s unclear if he had any advantage in doing so. We ended up putting our luggage back in the car ourselves while navigating several stairs at the entrance. While the female receptionist was helpful, the overall attitude of the staff left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the hotel was also concerning; I found a spider web above the bed, and the windows had clearly gone uncleaned for quite some time. It’s disheartening to see such a historic establishment being let down by its current staff. I hope they can address these issues for future guests. "
