“My family celebrated some milestone birthdays with a long weekend away at this spectacular house. The house is a truly remarkable achievement. They have managed to maintain a high level of luxury and comfort while being completely off grid and remote. We visited in winter and were always warm and comfortable. The house is a large space with en suites in every room so it was perfect for our party. The house was well stocked with appliances and modern comforts like coffee machines etc. The kids……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Healesdale House. The property is attractive, well-appointed, and the breakfast items are a hospitable touch. The house is close to most everything in the Yarra Valley, but tucked away in town just enough to feel calm and quiet. Our host was readily and helpfully available throughout. He offered great recommendations for local businesses and wineries (though all of the cellars we visited were terrific.) We would gladly stay at Healesdale House again! ”

Host Walter has set up the ideal place for getting away from it all and that's exactly what this experience delivered - a much needed break from the big city and the perfect finale to an extended Easter vacation. “Property is advertised with the BBQ. Unfortunately we were told after purhase of our stay in order to use it.. you have to purchase the BBQ pack for $145 dollars. I have very specific dietary requirements and although there is a fry pan inside.. this left a very sour taste in my mouth that we werent allowed to use the BBQ. Just seemed petty and they failed to acknowledge this as unfair or sneaky. Wont be back ”

“Lovely grounds and spacious house, however it does need to be clearer in the description that you will be sharing the house with the owners. There is only a sliding door between their space and the guest rooms, we could hear the family until quite late, and the washing machine was on late at night which was in the guest area. Hosts were lovely and helpful. ”
