“The property has amazing little creatures outside at night. The parrot is amazing. It was the only hotel that smelled good my entire trip. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. ”

“I can't imagine a better-equipped cabin! There's a full kitchen and dining area, a giant bathroom with great hot water, and two beds with their own TVs (it's like a having your own two-bedroom apartment!) The owner, Heylin, was extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived. The internet was super fast. We saw monkeys in the trees behind the A-frame as we sat out on the balcony and we also enjoyed a lovely thunderstorm. This is an amazing gem in the area. Definitely worth the stay if you're in……

“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. “My wife and I loved this property. 3 adults and 2 children in our group. If you are okay with simple accommodations with great service and beautiful scenery you have to stay here. Grounds were immaculate when we arrived and we were greeted with 2 Toucans as we headed to our cabin. Tons of hummingbirds flying around. This place just felt so full of life! “This location is a bird watching, listening, paradise. The cabins are surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. The owner Cede is very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed here Friday Nov. 8, 2024 and were the only guest due to the rainy season. Would love to return when it is NOT raining. The rooms were clean and spacious. A great place to stay and easy to get to with good roads. We toured the chocolate farm……
