“I was impressed from the moment I saw this attractive stone building, on a slight rise which gives good views of the beauty of Swanage Bay and the nearby coast. A very friendly and helpful welcome from the moment I came through the door, but not overdone either. My room had a view of the bay and was comfortable and completely clean (as was the entire place). “Fabulous stay for girls weekend! Lovely setting with wonderful walking trails that only require a moderately hard climb up. The room had a terrace that was perfect for a cup of tea and a rest. The restaurant was very good with a wonderful breakfast and dinner menu. You should pay ahead for parking, but the lot is just over the square from the hotel, so very convenient. Would most definitely stay again!”

“Very nice property with many period features (it was a railway station originally). Staff were friendly and helpful. We know the fire alarm system works as it went off at 11.30PM (fortunately set off by steam from a shower not a fire). Only observation was that the breakfast seemed expensive didn't find out the quality as we went elsewhere.”

“Fantastic stay. We were allowed to check in really early on our day of arrival, which made it an even better stay. Checked in around 9am. We stayed in room number 4, which was located at the back of the hotel. Lovely room ,which was immaculate in decor and cleanliness.Nice sized ensuite with a lovely shower. Nice touch with the complimentary biscuits and toiletries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“Lovely stay, pool was very cold but jacuzzi was good. Pool area generally needs a refresh. Good breakfast buffet, no cooked veggie options but may have been available to order but not clear anywhere. Room was ok, clean, overlooked courtyard which is very nice. Bar has a large gin selection but no aperol! ”
