“Really nicely done up pub/hotel. The skittle alley was great fun. Friendly staff. We enjoyed a meal in the evening and also a couple of fantastic breakfasts! Lovely area too, great for a walk to see the ponies. A short drive into Southampton for some shopping, a trip to Beaulieu and stroll around lyndhurst. We had a great trip and would definitely visit again! Thank you for having us! ”

“The welcome I received was super and, from the get-go, all the staff were extremely happy to help in any way, possible. Martyn was a super star with nothing being too much trouble or inconvenient! I had the rather embarrassing situation of having my (company) credit card declined upon arrival however, with a simple smile and very pleasant attitude, Martyn waved away the immediate situation with a view that 'we can look at it again, tomorrow'. Unfortunately, the beer was too good and the room……

“Had a great stay in the dandelion suite for my partners 30th. The decor had a rustic/luxurious feel and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, you can really taste the quality of the meat. The hosts were very welcoming and informative and they couldn’t do enough to make your stay a memorable one. Would definitely recommend to any couples that just need to get away for a few nights and unwind. I would give 6 starts if I could! All the best. Mike and Zoe”

“Quaint cottage and staff were polite. The room we stayed in was nice and bright. There was a very bad damp problem in the en suite especially above the shower, not just on the ceiling but the shower sealant was all black and the bottom of the shower door had not even been cleaned of all the mould. The shower was very powerful and water hot. Skirting of the bedroom was missing exposing the gap between floor and ceiling. Although there was radiator heating the thermostat was loose and difficult……

“We loved this place, after a lot of stress we wanted to find somewhere special to take our minds off of it all and here was a fantastic find! The spa, staff, food, location absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend and they upgraded us which was a treat (Thank you). It is a really special place and sometimes the deers flock at the front which was very pretty!”

“Our experience at this hotel was excellent. The lady assisting us to check in was very nice. She showed us around the hotel facilities and gave my kids swimming toys. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had three swimming pool, one indoor and two outdoor. My kids really enjoyed the pool. In addition, the included breakfast was delicious. This hotel definitely deserves that we come back.”
