“Chewton Glen is a glorious hotel with fabulous, well cared for grounds. (Although the patios and tables in the Croquet rooms, could do with attention)The staff are exceptional, with every individual staff member reacting promptly, to our requests. We dined at the Kitchen on the first evening, which was superb. Unfortunately, on both mornings of our stay, our cooked breakfasts were rather disappointing. A simple omelet, eggs Benedict, and waffles were badly executed in our opinion. On the……

“We stayed in Haven Hall and had such a great experience there! The owner David came to greet us and showed us around his property which they renovated for 4 years prior to opening as a boutique hotel. The hotel has beautiful decor inside and a spectacular waterfront. We were asked in the evening what we wish for a breakfast on the next day and they made it exactly the way we requested. We wish we spend more days on the island and definitely would recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting……

“Hotel is in a perfect location and walkable to some excellent local restaurants. Spa facilities were really lovely. For the amount paid I did expect a better room and bathroom facilities as these were looking a bit tired. I was a little surprised to have to pay extra for any hot breakfast choices ( this was in our booking terms but I’d not read the details in full, my miss). The continental buffet was very fresh and well stocked. Whilst we enjoyed our stay I did expect a bit better quality room……

“Spent a lovely few days at the Woodlands hotel with a friend and our two dogs. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice. If you are looking to take a dog with you it's a great choice. They have a lovely big safe garden, with a gate leading straight out to the forest. There is a bar area where you are allowed to have your dog with you during breakfast and dinner and the food is very good. If you are not a doggy person, there is a separate dining room, so you don't have eat with dogs……
