“I was concerned after reading reviews but need not of worried , it is basic but with everything you need , it was clean and so quiet and its a short walk to the shop , it was so quiet had no problem sleeping , i will remember to take batteries for the tv remote as had to keep getting up to change the channel when asked house keeping never had spare ones , but apert from that we had kettle and tea and coffee supplied and toiletries, over all an enjoyable stay and i didnt want to leave , will……

“The location was easy to find, and you're supposed to call a number on a sign for assistance. The number wasn't working, but I got the right one from someone at the bar. A friendly lady greeted me and offered to help with my bags. The room was a good size with a clean bed and bathroom. Toiletries aren't provided, but I always take my own, so for anyone who doesn't, please do. My only issue was the carpets weren't very clean, but thankfully I had slippers. After your stay, you just drop your key……

“A decent bed for the night, with on suite toilet (no toilet paper though). Decent shared kitchen to use if required, and a quite area at night. Overall, I'll book with Darwin Guest house again.”

“Unable to check in at 3 as required. Messed around for over an hour. Given the code for my room and it was already taken. Mine was a large room with a double bed. I was given a substitute small room with single bed that squeaked everytime you moved. Stuff on the side for hot drinks but no kettle or mug. An utter shambles of a place in poor condition ”

“This is not somewhere I would recommend. It is Self Check in but I had not received the Details (Door Codes) by 7pm (1900) and had to ask for them; although they deny this. On, finally, getting the Codes I arrived to find 2 other Guests struggling to access the Property as the Locks are not easy to use. The Rooms are OK but no Towels were provided and the Bathroom was not in good condition or clean. The Kitchen was ok but that is about as far as it goes. The only positive was the Location; it is……

“On arrival no staff just a pin number sent to access room. On entering i sat on mattress and nearly fell through as its so thin and missing so many springs plus springs went straight into bottom. The tiny light on wall had no bulb in and was rusty and dirty. Room was dirty no wonder it was £30 for a night”

“horrible comunication, host sent me check in comunications 3 hours after check in time just because I called them and it was a voice message box also they changed our reservation without asking if we agreed with that. I do not recomend”

“Self check in smooth. Provided towels and bath maths, coffee, tea, etc. However, cleanliness of the entire place was quite abysmal. I've stayed in hostels and cheap stays like this all over the world and this was probably one of the worst in terms of cleanliness. There was a used tissue inside a Lou roll, hair all in the shower, and the room I stayed in was like someone had chain smoked in the room without the window open leaving me coughing all night. The kitchen smelled so bad I can't imagine……
