“Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.”

“We booked specifically for an overnight stay so we would be relatively close to attend a wonderful concert at Kilmelford Village Hall ,approx a 10 minutes drive away . We've had a very busy schedule recently and the hotel and tranquil peaceful surrounds and lovely views across the bay , was just what we needed. We were lucky the sun shone and we were able to spend a blissful hour or two after checking in ,sitting out on the patio with a nice cup of tea and cake. We weren't able to dine……

“Wonderful hotel in a great location. Staff we spoke to were so lovely and friendly. We stayed in one of the rooms that is separate to the main property, and it was very well equipped and spacious. So clean and very peaceful. Would definitely stay again.”

“This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less……

“Prime reason for trip was to Cruise on the paddle Steamer Waverley 3 trips. Danarle guest house was ideal for this as only 5 minute walk to North pier and 10 mins to railway pier and station Guest house was extremely clean an comfortable ”

“Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und scheint sehr frisch renoviert zu sein. Das Frühstück ist überschaubar, aber gut und ausreichend, das Restaurant für den Abend ist auf sehr hohem Niveau. Die Einrichtung ist im alten schottischen/englischen Stil, ohne dabei verstaubt zu wirken. Die Lage des Hotels ist ein weiteres Highlight! Direkt am See mit einem grosszügig angelegten Garten. ”
