“As adult ski bums, we tried out 4 Winter Park inns under $200/night in this season. Viking Lodge is our favorite and the least expensive. It is an old lodge and exactly what they advertise: a very basic room with private bath and a refrigerator. If you can enjoy an old fashioned ski lodge, this is a perfect place. (If you need glamour and upscale, this is not your place.) The room was very comfortable with lots of extra pillows. There is no breakfast (same as 2 of the other lodges we stayed……

“Excellent stay with beautiful mountain views! The cabin was very nice & comfortable, completely furnished. Location is remote enough with lots of deer, but close to towns. Very easy to get around & we especially loved the hot tub in the evenings to relax. Taya Ann was wonderful to work with & we highly recommend staying here. Wonderful!!”

“Pros: Space, views, location. The view is spectacular. Good space for entertaining a family and having meals at home. Overall it was a nice homebase for exploring Colorado.Cons: living room screen door to porch is off the tracks, some of the windows don’t unlock to crank open, need better instructions on regulating heat/air, the garage floor needs cleaned out several inches of dirt, garage door wouldn’t close at one point and when I called left message and emailed..around 6:15pm on a……

“We had a wonderful stay at the St James Hotel. The hotel was right next to downtown Georgetown! There were a lot of great places to eat and the room was clean and cozy.”
