“La Cantera is a stunning resort. It has been my staycation destination over the last several years. The kids pool is a huge hit with my son. Front desk staff, valet, dining, housekeeping, management have always been welcoming and accommodating. I love being able to text guest services and receive a quick response. This most recent visit did have hiccups with the room assigned. It was a pleasant surprise to learn I received an Expedia VIP upgrade! BUT…evidently there were repairs going on……

“We have been coming to the Hyatt every year. The staff is friendly and the Resort is clean. My only complaint would be people taking tubes out and saving them. I saw 30 tubes behind chairs etc. Which is not right when there are 30 people looking to use a tube. ”

“Multiple ice machines didn’t work on different floors, when we asked about it they told me to just keep trying different floors. Shower is a rain shower with a wand, when using the wand the cover blew off and it was like a pressure washer and the cap never stayed on the wand again. Our room looked over the pool and it was too close and the string lights at night were too bright all night. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the room was spacious. ”

“This hotel was fine. A few things to know: 1. We arrived 30 minutes prior to check in, advised our room was ready but would be charged around $30 for the 30 minutes. 2. There is no service elevator. We felt bad for employees trying to work while hauling large containers of produce or laundry. Hence elevator wait times can be very long. 3. “The property itself is currently under renovation so there is a lot of construction noice throughout the day. The rooms are a bit outdated. However what made it great was the staff Ms. Gabriela and Ms. Maria at the front desk were very helpful with recommendations and questions I had. I also needed some items that I didn’t bring along with me and they had everything brought out to my room. Breakfast at the Rivers edge was a good experience.
