“Very cool historic building boutique hotel, nicely renovated with comfortable rooms and a gorgeous throw-back lobby with a bar, coffee bar and comfortable seating. Hosts one of Kansas City’s excellent fine dining restaurants, The Town Company. Parking is not optimal with the best option being valet service, and downtown KC street and plaza construction poses navigation challenges. Still a great downtown hotel option and an easy walk to convention facilities or conferences at e.g., the Marriott. ”

“The hotel needs updated. When you get off the elevator, you can smell mildew. The bathrooms definitely need updating. For the price you pay could be nicer. But the rooms were clean and the service was excellent. We’d stay there again. ”

“Friendly and helpful service, clean rooms, great beds, quiet, walkable area with lots to do and the streetcar is nearby to take you places as well. Loved it!”

“Everything was great with one exception. You DEFINITELY need to replace the toilet seat and lid with the soft touch seat and lid. The lid that is there now weighs about 30lbs! God forbid if it slips from your hand! ”

“The owner is really nice! My room, bathroom, kitchen, dining and the entire house is very clean! I was a little nervous when I arrived in front of the door but she gave me a warm welcome! Free bottled water in the refrigerator, k-cup coffee and microwave were so useful for me! It’s 5 mins away from the Convention Center by car so that the area was pretty quiet. There’s no shops around the property but other than that, I really enjoyed relaxing!”
