“Looking at those pictures thinking “Could it be that good?” Yes, it is absolutely is. House is in a small, gated community (felt very safe) on a picturesque white sand beach. In the water, it is rocky and difficult to walk, but shallow, protected cove is perfect for snorkeling and kayaking (available at house). We saw conch, rays, squid, beautiful fish. “The ocean-side location, the views and the comforts of Isla Escape were exactly as advertised. Better yet, the casita is but a 20 minute beachside stroll to the wonders of Bahia Akumal. Snorkeling with sea turtles in this protected tropical paradise is not to be missed. The owners, Jacob and Moonea, live right next door and were extremely thoughtful and kind. “Beautiful property and nice, quiet neighborhood. For such a beautiful home, I would have expected some basics like cleaning supplies, sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, also salt/pepper, oils for cooking, etc. The water was not safe drinking water and purifier made it taste salinated and terrible. Also, showers need to be cleaned better as they are full of mold. Pool needed to be cleaned and the nearby gym equipment was all broken. The transportation system to the beach does not include this……

There are restaurants about 10 min up the road but everything else is a bit of drive. We really enjoyed La buena vida in Akumal - good food great beach view! We had a wonderful time! ”

“Absolutely loved! The rooms were all nice. Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The whole house was was very clean. The lagoon was so nice to swim in. We saw so many different types of fish. The water was clear. We had such a nice time. We also went swimming with the turtles at Akumal Beach. It was amazing and close to the house. We saw so many turtles and fish. The cleaning lady was so nice and very helpful giving us ideas of places to go.”
