“Location was great, close to the heart of the old town. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Balcony looking on to the old city wall was nice. However, the bed had no top sheet - just a bottom sheet and a blanket. We tried to get a sheet of one of the bunk beds, but it was dirty and smelly. Staff provided a top sheet when asked and we fitted it ourselves. There were no tea or coffee making facilities anywhere. The TV had no channels at all, so was purely for decoration.”

“It’s fine to stay there. Overall is good. The private beach was good. The hair dryer was not provided. And there is no desk in the rooms so not so easy to use laptops. The bed and shower room are good, But there was a thunder storm coming and the electricity was down for hours. The breakfast is ok. ”

“This is a beautifully and tastefully restored vintage property. The hosts are welcoming and multilingual. I highly recommend it. My only minor complaint was that I found it impossible to turn off the air conditioning at night - I don't like to sleep with AC. My solution was to pull out the room card from the power control and turn off the electricity for the room, but that meant we couldn't charge our phones. But that's minor, and I'm sure that if we'd said something the management would have……

We arrived in Haifa and day after was Yom Kippur, Mr Yaniv working at the hotel helped us to get a taxi take us from Haifa to Jerusalem. “Nice small hotel located right in the center of German Colony, adjacent to Bahai Gardens. Clean room, could do with a little brush-up though (refers to the standard single room). Prompt and friendly service, when questions arise. Take into account: The single bedroom houses the WiFi and cable station for all the rooms, which must be switched on all the time. Continuous operation causes a silent humming sound. If you are a troubled sleeper, pack some earplugs. After one night, the sound didn‘t……
