“The only two downsides were a lack of WiFi and cell service (only available in the main house) and no GPS. They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. I admittedly panicked (we drove for 12 straight hours overnight), and our friend was on the verge of declaring us missing because he couldn't get in touch with us. “The cabin was just as described. It was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the water. We also saw lots of wildlife. Overall, we had a very relaxing get away. ”

“This is one of the most quaint places I've stayed at. Building was built in early 1900's but has been refurbished inside with modern features but retains the old craftsman look and feel. Our room was larger than I expected. Bathroom was spacious and modern. The sink was smaller than expected but made sense actually. Extremely quiet. Monterey has very little activity. Still, it was a perfect place to stay because we were here to ride the Cass Scenic Railroad. The breakfast is definitely a……
