“This was a very nice place. ”

“The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The location was excellent as it was a short walking distance to all of the tourist areas and attractions. We appreciated the free on site parking. The breakfast was wonderful and the beer garden was a very nice area in which to relax. The windows in our room were very dirty and little bugs gathered around the lights at night. It was also very noisy as the music from the beer garden drifted up to our windows and the noise from the crowd there……

“We arrived very early so the room wasn't ready understandably, they took our number and phoned us as soon as it was, which was 2 hours before check in. Room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and hot”

“The hotel staff were excellent. The food was very good. The room was comfortable (accessible room) but could do with refresh. The carpet was quite stained in places, the tiles on floor of shower were sharp around the drain, the shower taps were roughly fixed to shower wall and very difficult to turn off, there was no air-conditioning in bedroom, no safe, and key card kept failing. The hotel also offered an indoor pool. However, it was always so busy as the hotel opens it up to non - residents.……

“Kilkea castle grounds are absolutely beautiful and so very serene. It was a perfect last night to relax and decompress for the journey home. The staff was wonderful and very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable.”

“This is a golfer’s paradise. My golfer uncle from US would love this place. I am not a golfer but stayed at the lodges to attend a wedding in nearby Athy. The receptionists were lovely and extremely helpful. I should have taken their names. A special shoutout to the manager (again I didn’t take her name) of Hermione's Restaurant Friday evening 1st May and Saturday’s morning 2nd May for breakfast. She was very friendly, polite and professional. I would definitely recommend this place for a……
