“A reasonably priced converted wooden hotel, with friendly assistance from the restaurant on the ground floor when we had difficulty logging into the self-service teller machine. The room has an ancient feel of medieval stories. Please bring your own earmuffs for sleeping. ”

“We hebben hier 4 nachten gelogeerd het hotel, kamers zijn netjes en verzorgd en het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het uitzicht van onze kamer was geweldig zo ook in het restaurant. Ontbijt was goed verzorgd, Diner was van goede kwaliteit ook het bedienden personeel. Het hotel bevind zich op een mooie locatie zo heerlijk rustig en de belletjes van de koeien het was echt genieten.”

“Overall great apartment for anyone traveling with family or good friends. A very spacious, clean and comfortable place to stay. It is simply amazing to overlook the white mountains at the balcony. Free parking just at the basement which is convenient for any travellers who drive. Yet, it was a bit hard to find the reception to check in and there was construction noise in the morning during our stay.”

“Though it is not located in the center of the main tourist sites, it is not far away from it. If you drive, it only takes 10 mins to get you to the heart of Lucerne. Plenty of free carparking lots are provided. Good scenic view as well. ”

“We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. ”

“The hotel is old but the price is fair. The location is convenient for eveything. The restaurant Coop and the Lion Monument are just in walking distance. Bus No 1 and 19 are near the hotel which are just a few stops to Luzern train station or walk within 15 mins to the train station and Kapellbrücke. ”

“The staff of the hotel are too young and not experienced. The reception staff changes almost every other day. It is not good for the guests, who look for stability and home feelings. The cleaning staff are not experienced too and throw away my expensive and important tooth bracket when cleaning.”
