“This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse. I thought the description could have been more detailed: I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. ”

But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. “The property exceeded our expectations! Location was perfect. Quick walk to the grocery store, Charlie’s Seafood Market and Gather, a great breakfast restaurant. We spent a lot of time at the lake, which is almost right across the street. “Our grown children who live in neighboring states met us in Maine for a long weekend together. The house has lots of vintage charm and a welcoming soul. The kitchen, dining and living rooms were the perfect size for our group. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.
