“The location is beautiful. The house was clean. kayaking and canoeing on the lake was amazing. Also rented a boat one morning to tour the tree beautiful waterfalls on the lake. The only issue would have been parking, however the owner was very accommodating. It's best if your able to park your vehicle inside the garage. Great lake front location with beautiful towns nearby.”

“We came down for a weekend to visit our son who attends WCU but also to adopt a dog from the shelter. We knew we’d have a dog with us for the last night there and needed a pet friendly home and found Lisa’s place. The home, location, ease, location, and friendliness all exceeded our expectations. We decided night one we would be back for sure. Night two after visiting the shelter we decided we’d even love to come back and save another four legged friend and bring them into our family. “Had a last minute opportunity to visit my daughter and looked at VRBO since I've always had great luck with them. Got to the property and found out that my room was 1/4 price per night. I paid VRBO more than 4 times what the hotel price was per night. Property was just barely OK. Pool was closed. Breakfast made my daughter violently ill which put a damper on the weekend. Feel stupid and taken advantage of...and yes, I am part of that responsibility so that is why I am writing this review...buyer……

“This place is surprisingly even better and bigger than it looks in the pictures! It’s clean and comfortable and comes with just about everything you could need for a fun trip. The owners are super friendly and made sure that we were all set. We used this place for a guys’ trip and it was perfect for the remote vibes and a quick drive to our river tubing and a super easy drive to Asheville! I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for the mountain vibes and also convenience to……

“It is a spacious studio with an extremely comfortable king size bed. The shower is amazing and parking was safe and convenient. The neighborhood was lovely, safe and quiet. The only issue we had upon our arrival was a problem with gaining access to the unit via the keyless entry door lock. Luckily, the owner's arrived right on time to help us get in. They were very friendly and helpful as the issue was resolved. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.”

“Our week in Highlands was so enjoyable and Foxglove Flat, although rustic on the outside, is a beautiful space to call home. It was absolutely spotless, comfortable and easy access for my husband with his mobility issues. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to cook. Multiple coffee making options was nice. I was impressed with the quick response I had regarding the shower (operator error on my part) and the notification that bad weather was on its way. We would not hesitate to……
