“Nice hotel set in lovely countryside, very friendly staff. Evening meal was good, although it was a very quiet period which led to no deserts being available which was a bit of a let down. All that being said we had a pleasant stay.”

“Hotel and grounds lovely, very peaceful. I booked a table for the 1762 menu and when we sat down to dinner we were told it was not available. I made a huge mistake booking the wrong dates to visit the follies i had even enquired at the hotel but they failed to mention they were not open on the dates i booked. “We had a very good welcome when we arrived late due to a wedding we were attending. Quick and efficient check-in. Rooms were generally good, although the shower had signs of orange bacteria and some black mould on the ceiling. The bottom of the shower door and sealant around it was tatty and looked dirty, so much so that I didn’t want to use it. Breakfast was good, bit limited choice due to additional £5 charge for what you would expect to be on an ordinary hotel menu. Continental breakfast was……

“We booked for a one night stay, as we were attending our Aunts 80th Birthday party and had to travel a distance. Our evening meal was acceptable as traditional pub grub and the service/staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was FAB, we had a full English and couldn't fault. “Food was excellent. Room was very comfortable. My usual bugbear is staffing and service but at this hotel I'd say 100 percent is selling them short . Could not ask for better service particularly in the savvy fox restaurant. Will definitely be staying here again. Only downside was we were only staying 1 night. Well done. ”
