“We stayed at the Birdham for a mini-break and were very pleased with our choice. It has been recently refurbished to a good standard and was very clean. The team were all very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Bembridge itself is fairly small and quiet but it is easy to get to from the ferries and was also a good base for touring the island. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a nice place to stay for an Isle of Wight break.”

“The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”

“Our experience at this hotel was excellent. The lady assisting us to check in was very nice. She showed us around the hotel facilities and gave my kids swimming toys. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had three swimming pool, one indoor and two outdoor. My kids really enjoyed the pool. In addition, the included breakfast was delicious. This hotel definitely deserves that we come back.”

I did not personally love the layout of the rooms especially in terms of plugs, as these could be difficult to find (even behind someone's head on the bed headboard), however this is a very tiny thing and generally speaking everything went well and was easy. Premises have got a small bar/lounge service with a good range of non-alcoholic proper drinks (pop-in even if you are staying in the surrounding places). Friendly staff.
