“The hotel was very good and we’d recommend it. The location was second to none, giving you the option of exploring Bakewell and the Monsal Trail but also having a convenient access to both Chatsworth, Hadden Hall”

“We were made very welcome! The room was clean and comfortable - brilliant shower! Basic breakfast provided but it was all we needed. Bar times and fire escapes explained. Staff were very helpful when I realised we`d left something behind after checking out. Very cosy bar. ”

“This was our first visit to the hotel since it was refurbished. I’d saved up to take my husband there for his birthday treat. When we got there, we were so impressed and our room was lovely, apart from it feeling very warm. We realised that we were directly above the kitchen. It was really noisy, as the extractor fan was so noisy to the point that it felt like we were about to take off on an aeroplane ( and that is no exaggeration ) We were kept awake by the staff laughing outside and throwing……

“Staff very good. Room had too many flaws-very small, bed light did not work, cold stone floor, dark room, minimal window opening as door and window opened directly onto pub roadside patio. Good shower ”

“Freshly updated boutique hotel, a great place to relax. Quiet & great size room and bathroom, with comfortable king size bed. Good location in the small town of Bakewell. Parking was across the street, and reception organised a parking pass at a discounted rate when we checked in. Shops, pubs and restaurants all walking distance. Enjoyed our 2 night stay and would stay again.”

“Very clean and quiet. Upgraded to the Garden suite which was lovely. Nice pub next door with food. Fun climb onto the Moors behind the B&B. Great stay !”
