“Lovely place, with beautiful reception area, you see that it has been grand. However you also see that the hotel overall is old and in need of renovation. the pool needed cleaning (but that was general for all our stays in Botswana) and the bar at the pool was closed in the afternoon!! They was 2 girls but the answer was closed!! Luckily a young man came by and he accommodated us (we saw that he walked to the other bar to get our orders) We had a massage all 3 and it was really good.”

“I booked this hotel for a 4 night stay for me and two work colleagues. Upon arrival on Sunday afternoon, 6th August 2023, the lady at reception said that she had no record whatsoever of our bookings and said that we couldn’t stay as the hotel was fully booked. When I showed her the paperwork from Hotels.com confirming the booking she was unmoved and refused to honour our booking. No apology although she did telephone a local guest house and they accommodated us for our 4 night stay.”

“Really enjoyed our stay here. It was such a characterful hotel and our room was gorgeous with beautiful views over the Chobe river from the balcony. The game drives and river cruise were really good and a reasonable price. I would say, the service was very up and down, sometimes outstanding, at other times quite cold and disorganised. The same is true of the game drives, one was incredible, the other was quite mediocre. Food too, sometimes was exceptional (like the BBQ at the poolside bar), at……

“Only one slight criticism, no information in the rooms regarding opening hours for breakfast, lunch etc, and checkout time, also no information on tours operating from the hotel. Apart from that I found the staff very efficient and helpful.”

“The staff was great during my stay. Always smiling and willing to help. The food was very good quality and tasty. The breakfast which was included had some variation, but being a person who loves breakfast, it checked all of my boxes. The staff would see me coming and start my eggs and cooking my bacon crispy. The location was great, five minutes to Field mall and ten minutes to to the Three Chiefs Monument.I could go on and on about the location, but the area is very safe.”
