“I’ve stayed here virtually every time I visit Nelson and the Hume is the place to be, bar none. Still retains its old world charm but amenities are modern and flawlessly renovated. I would absolutely recommend the Hume as it’s a great hotel and definitely has a high end luxury feel for reasonable price.”

“This property was amazing! The mansion was so beautiful and the owners were the most hospitable people we have ever encountered! The grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. The history of mansion was amazing, each room had information and the decor was beautiful! ”

“Room, bed and views were great! Bathroom was down the hall for the CEDAR room, not ideal but it was very clean and it was my own private one so I could leave all my stuff in it. Wasn’t a big deal really Quiet spot, 4 parking spots at back. I didn’t get one one of the nights but found street parking right in front for the night. I would stay there again!”

“The house is absolutely gorgeous with a stunning view of the lake. The photos on the website don’t do it justice - it is much better in reality. We are an extended family of 8 and it was possible for us all to have our own little ‘nook’ in the house. It has everything you could possibly want - some of us just wanted to stay there while the rest of us went touring.
