“It was a nice quiet place to stay while I was getting a few things done at my house. The parking was right next to the yurt. The bathroom and sink are in another building. There was a microwave and fridge. The coffee was good. It was windy and the outer window coverings were really loud, so bring earplugs just in case. It was nice to see the stars while laying in bed. I would stay again.”

“A nice location away from the hustle and bustle of Kona but within reach of Captain Cook and Volcanoe / Hilo areas. We enjoyed our short stay chilling on the deck and exploring the farm with short drives to 2 step snorkelling and coffee farms and cafes. Nice place to return after a long day of exploring. ”

“Waking up to the birdsong was my favorite time of day. I'd get up, make coffee and head out on the lanai to watch the morning unfold. I spent lots of time on the lanai relaxing and recharging. Close enough to beaches, national parks, grocery stores, and Ka Lae Garden Thai restaurant. I highly recommend!”

“The cottage and grounds are very special. Quiet, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Gale was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our welcome gifts of fruit and the best banana bread on the islands. ”

“Building is gorgeous inside and out. Everything you need is there, we even left a couple bamboo mats for the next visitors. Sat out on the porch in the evening drinking wine and listening to the frogs.Note that as the proprietor states, it is up in the rain forest, so it will rain and can be cool. That being said, it's a 20 minute drive down to sunny Kailua (where it can be a bit uncomfortably hot!).Owner very responsive. Nice stay”

“Best Kona experience I’ve ever had. Go by yourself or take a friend. A wonderfully appointed clean apartment in the heart of a beautiful jungle. Spent so much time there lazing, reading. Fell asleep each night, sung to sleep by a (quiet) orchestra of wild life.. all of which stayed outside the apartment (I think I meet one mosquito, the whole week, inside the apartment). Drove out each day adventuring (beaches, volcanoes, swimming with huge turtles/manta rays). Dined each lunch at a different……
