“Amazing property. Beautiful, quiet, private space. Very nice two bedroom unit with everything you need. We really enjoyed Koki, a sweet dog that would visit from time to time. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and listening to the birds and frogs. We’d love to stay again. ”

“This was such a fantastic off-grid getaway. If you enjoy the sound of crashing waves against the rocky cliffs 24/7, living in the jungle with fresh fruit trees and coconut trees, and hearing the sound of evening rain showers from the topical climate, then this is the place for you. My fiancé and I booked this 9 months in advance to go visit the Volcanoes National park (which is less than 45min away) and got to see Kilauea erupting!Also, booking well in advance will save you money as most hotels……

“Perfect stay in a quiet neighborhood. It was close to everything we wanted to do including the volcano. Clean and comfortable. the only thing we found ourselves missing was a microwave but we were able to make due with everything else available which was perfect. Thank you for the comfortable stay. Will be staying here again if we visit another time.”

“Our stay at Hale Hapu‘u was brief, but lovely! It’s a great spot, easy access to lots of areas of the island. The cottage was warm and inviting. My only (very minor) feedback is that compared to other spots we stayed for similar pricing, the kitchen amenities felt a little lacking. It was great for a short stay, but I think we’d have struggled with the size of the sink and a mini-fridge if we had been there much longer than a day or two. But that’s a small thing that didn’t impact us this time……

“The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. ”

“Great central local position on a great quiet street. Bit warm downstairs as we couldn’t turn the fan on but have the light off at bedtime for the kids. Close to airport, shopping and places to eat. Place was very spacious. ”
