“This property was unique and we're so happy to chose to stay here.Pros: The views are incredible and the outdoor living spaces were very comfortable - in particular we spent a lot of time on the high top chairs, sofa bed, and two person dining table. The kitchen was fully stocked and operational with everything we needed. The bedroom was perfectly sized and comfortable. It was so easy to access Manini Beach (you can walk). By staying in Captain Cook you have a much more "locals" experience.……

“This cute cottage has the perfect location to enjoy the nearby beaches, shopping and enjoying the island. The property is beautiful and the chickens and frogs added a special touch to our stay. Thank you Lisa for being a perfect host. And your coffee is delicious! ”

“I always wondered what makes a VRBO rental get an excellent score of a perfect 10, and now I know! Gale is an INCREDIBLE hostess and is a treasure trove of knowledge about the island. Our first day she brought us fresh fruit and banana bread, which was quite delicious and so sweet of her. “The location is great as long as you have a car for the short trips to town and the ocean. Check in was easy, just keep in touch and it's easy.The fresh mangoes and abundant colorful bird activity were highlights. “My partner and I felt like we really lucked out with this cottage! Location was conveniently close to Kona Airport, Kailua-Kona, and the west coastline. We had all amenities to enjoy our vacation activities, like beach towels, chairs and umbrella, and snorkeling gear. Check-in was very simple, and Andrew was very communicative and responsive to all our questions. Much appreciation to the host for this cottage!”

“The property is at a beautiful spot”

“This is a beautiful property and very peaceful and calming. We had excellent communication with the manager who really helped us by arranging a washing machine when a prior renter had broken the machine at this cottage. Also, we forgot a ring that has much sentimental value (it got mixed up in the bedding while we were packing to leave). The housekeeper turned it in and the manager contacted us immediately to coordinate it's return. We were already on our way to another part of the island but……

“Perfect getaway from crowds and noise. Relax to bird sounds during the day and frogs at night. The vegetation is very lush in the cloud forest and it is frequently misty/drizzling. The temperature is 15-20 degrees cooler than at the beach.The house is very cozy and has everything you will need. They have coolers, insulated bottles, beach chairs, floaties, grill, etc all available for use. Beautiful woodwork and landscaping to admire.
