“We just got home from a week long stay at the Foster Ohia Rental Home. This was our first trip not staying with family locally, so finding this home nearby was perfect. The home was so comfy and included everything you’d need to make your stay enjoyable. It was private and excluded and we already miss going to sleep to the sound of the coquis and waking up to the chirping birds of the forest. Staying up on the hill was much more enjoyable and offered a nice reprieve from the Kona heat. Also……

“Loved our stay here. It was the perfect spot a little off the beaten path that was a great home base for our adventures on the big island. Close enough to everything you need and far enough from the hoardes of tourists, with lots of little shops and spots to check out nearby. As for the space itself, it's super cozy and has an incredible ocean view from the screened in patio. Waking up to that view was one of the best parts of our trip. Would 100% stay here again.”

Our first day she brought us fresh fruit and banana bread, which was quite delicious and so sweet of her. “The owner of the property was communicating with us from 2 weeks prior to our visit. This was our 3rd time visiting the Big Island, we love Hawaii’s fruits, beaches and snorkeling, the big Island has more than enough of those. “After a disappointing Kona Condo stay, this was a delight. I enjoyed the peacefulness, sounds of the jungle, and the coziness of the cottage. When we arrived we were greeted by two large parrots on the owners property, and a gaggle (?) of turkeys! various cats were spotted but kept their distance. The cottage was clean and inviting. Grocery and coffee shops within a few miles. The koi ponds and resident turtles were lovely. The Cottage itself had most everything one needs. The……

“This is a quiet detached 1 bedroom unit, with parking available in the large driveway of the main home. The area behind and to the side of the unit is green space, and the location is in a quiet neighborhood, which is great for those (like me) that wanted peace and quiet.
