“We came for the sleepy town and leashless beaches, and included local tourism to beach days such as H2OBX which has a nice "vacation pass" for when beach swimming wasnt an option due to rip tides. We still had 3 really nice beach days which was a short walk away from the house. That being said there were some down sides. Being ON duck road made the deck experience null as relaxing or sitting on your phone was drowned out from the noise from commuter traffic. Also, the decks, outside, and……

“The property really needs TLC.. many lightbulbs were burned out, furniture torn or soiled, broken windows with duct tape, curtain rods about to fall off……master bedroom was nice, but the mattress needed replaced. Felt like i was sleeping in a hole. The walk to the beach was short and the location is perfect.. the hot tub was very nice and we enjoyed it . I would not book this house again, unless updates were made.”

“The property, as a whole, was pretty nice. The mattresses for the trundles looked a bit worn. The mattresses on the bottom bunk beds may need to be replaced as well. The pool table was nice. The kitchen was very sufficient, even though we had to turn the oven up higher to cook. Could not turn the volume up on the TV in the pool table room. And the bar refrigerator kept leaking water in the bottom of it. All-in-all, the family enjoyed it and would stay there again.”

“The property is maintained by contractors. The benefits are that a quick response to a repair issue that came up, and the property has been cleaned in a very regimented way. The downsides would be it takes the guest noticing things are awry with the property and mentioning them or else the property management would never know. The example I will give is this: the fridge water filter was expired when we arrived*, the pool skimmer was busted and unusable*, one of the closet doors had fallen off……

“I choose this property based on the top floor living space which included lots of windows with views of the ocean.
