“We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which……

“Room was clean. Staff, particularly bar staff were marvelous, nothing too much trouble. A credit too the hotel. I only had one breakfast there as i dont eat much and it was not nice. I got poached egg on toast. It had been poached in vinegar water and thats what i tasted. Dinner meals good.”

“Nice decoration, nice garden. Clean. Very small single room, very small single bed and very small downstairs bathroom.Breakfast delivery at 8 am, 8:30 am, and 9 am. “A lovely hotel in a beautiful location with great staff, what's not to like ! The food and service in the restaurant was top notch but the dining room itself could do with 'softening' a little' - some art on the walls would be our suggestion! But that's a minor quibble , we will be back :-)”
