“Friendly, clean rooms Great food and cider”

“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“Love this Inn and accommodation nice homely touches,with good facilities . Food in the inn was superb we looked forward to eating there every night .A lot of love and hard work has gone into this place and it shows , will definitely stay here again.”

Excellent food in the restaurant but it was pricey. Excellent tasteful decor in the lounge which matched the moorland area very well. Recommended ”

“We are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather. A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. ”
