Host kept in contact to check if any refills etc needed . Only downside for us are stairs access but there were good handrails . ”

“We had an absolutely fabulous one night stay at the Cottage Lea's Country Hotel. The location is perfect - secluded and quiet, with beautiful scenery and delightful, well maintained gardens which had plenty of comfortable outdoor seating, as well as relaxing seating in the lounge area. Our room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable - the bed made it difficult to get out of! Becky and Lottie were absolutely perfect hosts - friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. “The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all. Coat hooks being on the same wall as the plugs/shelf etc meant coats hanging over the kettle , but the pod itself was lovely and clean, amazingly comfortable bed. The toilets and shower blocks were very well kept and clean. Perfect……

“Beautiful olde English pub with great atmosphere, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We had a dog friendly room at the back of the property, easy walking to local park. Excellent breakfast and evening meal the best vegetarian I’ve had ad in years.”

“Stay was ok, i am vegetarian and it was like being an after thought. One choice on the menu which was pasta. I gad a starter as a main coursein the end. No alternatives for a vegetarian breakfast. I justvthink its a bit poor. I pay the same as others and there is no alternative ”
