“We had a wonderful stay at The Barrel inn. They were accommodating to our potential late arrival, the room was spotless, cosy and fresh. The amazing view at sunset was stunning and although we were too late to eat dinner there, the breakfast was delicious.
We had a brilliant night sleep and great hot showers the following morning.
This was a recommendation from a friend and so worth it, we’ll definitely be back. ”

“Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at The George which was the perfect location to explore the Peak District. Our room (Jane) was very comfortable, roomy and tastefully designed. It was at the front of the hotel but very well sound proofed as traffic noise was not an issue. Both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent but the true asset of the hotel are the staff. "The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had a pleasant conversation with them during check-in and check-out. The room was tidy and well-maintained. When I requested additional coffee packs from housekeeping, they generously provided me with more than I expected. The room is well-equipped with plenty of electrical sockets, which is very convenient. However, the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak and could be improved."
