Check in was frustrating, however, when they put us in a Tavern Room instead of the house we reserved. When I called the front desk to inform them of the mistake, the woman tried to tell me they were all booked up and if we didn't want the Tavern Room she could try to find something else but would charge us extra. “Our stay at The Colonies was really great and we would definitely stay here again. The pool was really great - the water and temperature of the room was actually warm which meant I could go in too! Pools are rarely warm enough for me! The only thing that was a big negative for me, the restrooms in the pool area were extremely cold, even when I was dry. It felt like it was 60 degrees in there. But overall - this property is fantastic!”
