“Conveniently located within the town but secluded enough that it was always peaceful like a good hideaway. The breakfast was great and the all day tea and afternoon popcorn was a delight. I appreciated that guests were able to use the kitchen and designated fridge. The deck area where you could lounge while you read, ate, or just enjoy company with a great view was an added bonus. “We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Cipreses! The staff were so warm and friendly, and really made us feel at home. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. They were also very accommodating with our plans, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights was the night animal tour with Ellie. It was fantastic! We saw so many animals and the kids loved it. Highly recommend this hotel for a cozy and welcoming stay in Monteverde. ”

“Beautiful little resort just outside of the hustle and bustle of Monteverde. Owner met us to show us around the property and let us check in early. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful property and room. Excellent food from the on site restaurant. Excellent staff. Spotless room. If we ever come back to Monteverde I wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else .10/10 all day long”

“My husband and I recently stayed at Fincas Aquarius for two nights while exploring Monteverde, as we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle. The location is a little difficult to get to without a good car, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. Fincas Aquarius is nestled in a beautiful valley, with wide-sweeping views all the way down to the ocean. It’s honestly breathtakingly beautiful. Once we arrived, we were greeted by our host, the incredibly welcoming Jan. He made us feel super……

“Honestly this place was great. I saw birds roght out my patio window and looked out to the mountains. It was a great value and the owner and his family were very friendly and welcoming. Take the short hike to the top of the property and enjoy an amazing view. This was such a cool place to stay. The room was extremely comfortable.”

“Highly recommended location, I really enjoyed staying here at this family run B&B. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really nice, my room was great, very quiet and comfy. The gardens are lovely and there is a great little deck to watch the sunset. Although the place is down and unpaved road I was only in a tiny 2wd car and this (and everywhere else in the area) easily accessible, just take it very slow. Would definitely stay here again ”
