“We wanted a relaxing getaway for a long weekend and that's exactly what we got. The house is located right on the river and we spent our mornings and evenings on the deck enjoying the view. It is within an hour to New River Gorge National Park and several state parks. There is plenty of space to explore near the house with the Elk River Trail right across the road. The house is clean and well-equipped and the owners are very communicative. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to……

“this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. “Grassy Meadow was a wonderful house to stay in. Lots of movies and kids games to choose from. Perfect property in the country reminded us of home! Loved everything about it. ”

“Thank you! We had a nice stay. The apartment was just what we needed for our family of four and dog. Anything we wanted was within walking distance. So glad it came with a dedicated parking spot. It would have been helpful to have a binder with all WiFi and check out requirements. But, Dustin was helpful and responded quickly to any questions.”

“Nice home. We bought groceries at the local store and fixed some meals at the house. Made our way to multiple activities. Everything was within a couple of hours at the most. Went to New River Gorge ATVs, Rail Explorers and the Cass Scenic Railroad while here. (Make sure to print out directions before taking off, as WiFi not always available when out and about!). Fun time. WV is a great adventure.”

“We stay in the area regularly to visit family and we would definitely stay in this house again. The location was convenient for our needs. There were plenty of things to do at the house to keep everyone happy, even in January! One thing to note since I didn’t notice when booking, there aren’t tv’s in the bedrooms. The projector and couch in the basement was the preferred hangout space for our teens.”

“Our family of 8 came to catch the last days of skiing at Snowshoe. We had 3 great days! The property had everything we needed and then some. It was well set up and spacious with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the whole apartment/condo was super clean. If we ski Snowshoe again we will definitely try to stay here.”
