“Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. “The decision to stop in St.Albans was initially because it was a convenient stopover place for London, due to the easy commute into the city. However, as soon as we arrived and saw the cathedral ACROSS the road we knew that one of our days would be better spent experiencing this beautiful and historically rich place. We even arrived on a festival day! Lots of walking meant that sleeping in a comfortable bed was a priority and the hotel scored highly on this! Breakfast was varied and set us up……
