“Second time I've stayed here, only issue is breakfasts seem to be a bit disorganised; both times I've stayed here, I've been forgotten! Having said that, every staff member is super friendly, and super helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I'm in the area at least once a month for work, so I'll continue to stay here, as the bed, breakfast and dinner deal is great value and keeps our accounts dept happy! Just don't forget me at breakfast! 🙂”

“This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels! We had such a lovely room that had the stream running past the window. The beds were super comfy and the room had lots of plug sockets which seems rare in hotels! It was a Greene King but the food was better than any I've been too and reasonably priced. Service was quite slow considering how quiet it was but the staff were very friendly. The pictures online don't do this place justice, a real hidden gem! ”

“Free parking, so big that local vintage car club used it as meeting point. Enjoyed the duck for dinner and cooked breakfast in the morning. Room was bigger than expected, clean and quiet. Some parts looked like they needed redecorating but it is an old coaching inn. Only ten minutes from Dyrham Park.”

“Blood stained on the bed sheets! When I requested to change the bed sheets, the staff told me that its their policy to change every 3 days!!”

“The overall impression is really good, the room is very big and there are kettle for boiling water and the shower is really good too. But the early morning when we tried to check out, there was not a single person on the reception and no one answer phone call on the emergency tel no., at last we just leave our room key on the table.”

“The hotel is located inside the pub. I was one of the attic rooms and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. The Sunday roast is well worth it. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. My room was a twin bedroom. It was fine but there was no floor length mirror. The mirror on the dressing table you could manoeuvre but you couldn’t see your full outfit. The mattresses need to be changed. Although I slept really well, the mattress was very lumpy with a firm impression on one side. The bathroom does……
