Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! You preorder the night before and can select as many items as you want from an extensive list!! “Very good value! Large room in historic pub. Building is full of character with wonky beams and creaky floor boards, and our room had an incredible four poster bed. Everything was clean and linens were all good quality. Bathroom could use some minor retouching but was perfectly acceptable. We stayed in the peak of summer (30 degree days) and did find it was very hot and there was no fan in the room. Trade off between having the windows open to help cool off which also let in a fair amount of……

“Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.”
