“Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all. Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. Great job and thank you Royal Britannia……

“Barton Instow Guest house is a jewel in the crown. A lovely old converted farmhouse nestled in the Instow countryside but only a short walk to the beautiful beach front. The bed was clean and comfortable, towels dressing gowns and toiletries are also provided. Cold milk was available each evening for a morning cuppa in your room before an amazing breakfast choice of delicious food. “I booked online and then researched the Holiday Park after (slightly backwards way of doing it) but I’m glad I didn’t take all the reviews too seriously, I’ve stayed in far worse hotels than this. Obviously late December is definitely not peak season either but still enough people about. The kids loved the pool and there was an on duty life guard and cafe. Our apartment was nice too. If I could give 1 bit of feedback it’s that the changing room for the pool is an open 1 room which the boys……
