“We spent a while looking through the various hotels in the Faro area before we booked Faro Boutique due to its location and rooftop terrace. The location is great for the marina, Old Town and central area, Faro is an easily walkable city. Our room was quite small and the balcony was very small. The red decor was interesting - felt a bit outdated. The breakfast area was also small and the continental breakfast was average at best with not much variety on a daily basis. The biggest negative……

“Hotel is conveniently located near the old town and mamy restaurants. Breakfast is delicious and the view on rooftop is nice. Room is clean but the water draining from the bathtub is slow.”

“It was in a convenient location and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was modern. I booked it due to its proximity to Faro airport (15 minutes), but I would stay again as an excellent base for exploring the Algarve. ”

“Excellent hotel and staff. Location is good, a few minutes to the marina and old town. The rooms were spacious and the kitchenette was a bonus if you wanted to make breakfast etc. staff are nice and helpful, they helped us book a private tour for 8 of us as the others were fully booked. Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate was a great idea, we would usually meet up in the breakfast room and have a coffee before heading out. Would definitely recommend the Roots Hotel. ”

“The drawback is if it’s rainy day, you won’t have much hot water for shower. The first night when we arrived at hotel was a rainy day so we barely had a hot shower. The host was super nice and will offer free breakfast. ”
