“Had a lovely 3 night stay at Heathpark. Meg and Chris were so warm, welcoming and attentive. Stayed in a single room which was a good size, cosy, and a very comfortable bed and fab shower. Great choices at breakfast with a daily special making it difficult to choose. Everything freshly cooked and well presented. Can't recommend this guest house highly enough. Meg and Chris do everything to make sure you (and your dog) have a pleasant stay. I look forward to returning in the future.”

“The hotel was great value for money, giving us a king sized bed and 2 singles in a separate bedroom- very handy for the children to sleep earlier than me. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide range of options. The only downside is that the floor boards in the corridors were very creaky, and the heavy doors made a lot of noise on closing, meaning my sleep was pretty poor. A big shame as I would have used this hotel again on a road trip down to England, but……

“A very comfortable stay in a Shepherds Hut which i could live in ☺️ nice wee kitchenette with shower room and toilet and a very comfortable bed. Emma was very welcoming and showed me took accommodation and told me things i needed ro know. Restaurant on site was very good too! 😃”

The only negative was the breakfast - service not welcoming and felt like they were in a panic or didn’t know what to do? More staff to support in the dining room may help. The buffet was never stocked with full choice, and the ordered food (pancakes and poached eggs) took ages and was not great. There was a lack of clean cutlery and glasses and the vacated tables were left for……
