“What a pleasant home on a beautiful property in a great location for hiking and exploring ancient ruins! Two ruins are on the property and reachable with a little determination. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch listening to and watching all kinds of birds, protected from the sun by its deep roof. Everything needed for daily life is provided in the house - just bring your groceries. Cell reception is spotty (if you consider that a problem instead of a benefit!), but the wifi works well enough……

The farm Bistro in Cortez is amazing a must to eat, Taquillas Mexican food is the best! We loved it!! It was to hot during the day! But we didn’t stay around home much during the day!! Hot tub was great! Host was amazing and the view was spectacular! We want to come back in the winter! Great family place for country……

“Two friends from different states, we stayed a week to be part of the Mesa Verde Writers Conference and Literary Festival (respectively), plus explore a bit afterwards. So close to town, yet--with running water music on either side of our spacious wall tent--in another world entirely, we couldn't ask for a better vacation base.
