“What a pleasant home on a beautiful property in a great location for hiking and exploring ancient ruins! Two ruins are on the property and reachable with a little determination. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch listening to and watching all kinds of birds, protected from the sun by its deep roof. Everything needed for daily life is provided in the house - just bring your groceries. Cell reception is spotty (if you consider that a problem instead of a benefit!), but the wifi works well enough……

“We stayed for our daughter’s wedding also in Cortez. We had family members and our dogs stay. It was a great setup for all and the game room kept the little ones entertained! Beautiful view! We are from California so may not be back for a while but would absolutely stay there again!!”

“Perfect location for our family, hiking, fishing, and swimming!! Our friends live just 40 minutes away! Airport close! Shopping in Durango dnd Cortez perfect distance away! The farm Bistro in Cortez is amazing a must to eat, Taquillas Mexican food is the best! We loved it!! It was to hot during the day! But we didn’t stay around home much during the day!! Hot tub was great! Host was amazing and the view was spectacular! We want to come back in the winter! Great family place for country……

“Perfect home base for a week of exploring Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico with it's centralized location to all the amazing historical ruins in the region. Quiet and out of the way enough to a relaxing sit on the porch after a long day of hiking but close enough to "town" so you can sit down for a bite to eat or stop at the grocery store. The next time we come through the area we'll be staying again. Great little cabin to rest your bones in between adventures!”

“Two friends from different states, we stayed a week to be part of the Mesa Verde Writers Conference and Literary Festival (respectively), plus explore a bit afterwards. So close to town, yet--with running water music on either side of our spacious wall tent--in another world entirely, we couldn't ask for a better vacation base. All civilized needs were met, and also feeling close to the flycatchers and sapsuckers in the shade-giving cottonwoods. Whimsical folk art helped create a respite from……
