“Unusual decor reminds one of a spa swim club. Interesting to learn that this was one a place where visiting carpenters stayed, hence the name. We had a private balcony looking into the branches of a large pecan tree. We loved every aspect of our room. And nearby Barton Springs Rd. has lots to offer!”

“We found a small piece of glass in one of the beds. On Saturday afternoon we got back to the room around 4:00 pm, and the room wasn’t cleaned yet. The cleaning lady told me I have to ask the front desk for cleaning service, otherwise they don’t clean the room. The guy at the front desk told me it wasn’t necessary to ask for cleaning, that it will be done after they finished cleaning the rooms that were reserved directly at the hotel page, because the app reservations go at the end. “Had a wonderful stay, in Austin for a concert at the Moody Center and Hotel Ella was conveniently located. The staff was courteous, helpful, and professional. We will stay again, but hopefully we book when there isn’t a wedding. Several amenities are not available to guests that are not guests of the wedding.”
